Website Hacked by Russian 13 Year Old Includes Shout Out To vL6d1Mir PooTAng

MINSK, RUSSIA –

According to reports from students who attend his school, 13 year old Anatoly Gurguroff, who posts online under the handle “mR.M¢gOO” has hacked a popular US news site and included in his posting a shout out to “vL6d1Mir PooTAng”.

While a common practice for hackers to leave behind a message once they have control of a website that often includes greetings to other hackers in the community, the message to vL6d1Mir PooTAng puzzled some in the secretive online hacking world.

Another Russian hacker who  goes by the name “a$$ManDy” and who was was name-checked in the message by mR.M¢gOO  said via secure-channel email “I know all of the guys in that posting, but this vL6d1Mir PooTAng is someone I do not know. He must be a new hacker on the scene. Most of us know each ohter (sic) and sometimes we skype to talk tactics. Anatoly seems like a cool guy. He is very good with ARMv8 chips,” referring to a computer chip used in some home appliances.

Alexander Vladistom, a friend of Anatoly’s at Nikita Kruschev Technical School in Minsk, thinks maybe vL6d1Mir PooTAng is one of the kids in their science class. “There is a kid in that class that is very good with computers. I think he may be vL6d1Mir PooTAng but I have not asked Anatoly. He doesn’t like to talk much about his hacking.”

Many students have also been surprised by the nice shoes and clothes Anatoly is wearing, and the black car that comes to pick him up from school everyday. Another student who did not want to be named, said he thinks that the government has taken an interest in the young 13 year old. “Anatoly was wearing a pair of expensive Nikes the other day” the student said. “His father is a pipe fitter and Anatoly doesn’t have a job, so someone with money must have given those to him”.

Anatoly could not be reached for comment, but his mother who answered the phone said that she would be happy to forward a message to him as soon as he is settled in his new home in Moscow, where he is relocating to enter a program for advanced computer programming.
