In a back and forth exchange that lasted into the wee hours Friday night, President Donald Trump engaged in a fierce Twitter war with @POTUS, the Twitter account reserved for the President of the United States, which President Trump also operates.
The exchange began at 2AM when a Tweet was posted on the President’s personal account decrying a similar post on the @POTUS account:
The same Tweet appeared moments later on the @POTUS account:
To which @realDonaldTrump responded:
At which point @POTUS responded:
Several minutes went by, until another Tweet was posted by @realDonaldTrump:
A few minutes later, from the @POTUS account came three tweets:
After 10 minutes came another Tweet from @POTUS:
At 3:02 AM, another Tweet appeared on @realDonaldTrump and was repeated by @POTUS:
What followed then was a 17-post incoherent Tweet storm from the President’s personal account that promised revenge on 13 different individuals whom the President believed were behind the @POTUS tweets including Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Sean Spicer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, The White House gardener, Vladimir Putin, Oprah Winfrey, “Those Kids From War Games”, and Webster.
Each post was repeated on the @POTUS account one after another, including the 17th Tweet:
The exchange then ceased for 45 minutes until a final Tweet appeared at 4AM on the @realDonaldTrump account:
